Donation Options
You can use your credit
or debit card, or an electronic check which transfers the funds to the
church directly from your checking account. Both debit cards and
electronic check transfer funds out of your existing checking account, but
it costs less to use electronic checks. If you wish to use electronic
checks, you must become a Registered Donor, which authorizes us to
transfer funds from your account into the church's account.
Types of Cards Accepted
Presently only
ATM and debit cards with the VISA and MasterCard logo are
accepted. As the use of ATM and debit cards become more standardized and
universal, we will expand our acceptance to other cards.
Donations
by credit card can be made using VISA, MasterCard, Discover and
American Express cards.
Organizations Accepting
Electronic Checks, Debit and Credit Card Donations
We can only processes
your donations for the Churches and Organizations that have
registered with us. Find out by clicking on the Make an Online
Donation link on the Home page, then searching for the
organization by name or location. If you can not find the name of the
church or organization, we will not be able to process your donation to
that organization.
What if my Church has not Registered
Inform the appropriate
administrator or committee of your church that you would like to make a
donation through "MyChurchDonations.com" so you can use your
ATM, debit or credit card to make your contributions. Ask them to register with
MyChurchDonations.com to make this possible.
If your specific local church does not want to accept your card
contributions, consider donating to another church that has registered
with us, or check to see if a higher administrative body of your
religious denomination has or will register with us to accept your
donations.
How to Submit an online
Donation with
Your Debit or Credit Card for Non-Registered Donors
- Click
on the Make an Online Donation text link or
green Make a donation button on the Home
page.

Search for the church or organization by name or location. When
the search results appear, click on the name of the one to which you
are donating.
- Enter
all the requested information on the form used to submit your card donations, and then click on the Submit Donations Now
button.
- Verify
the information and charge to your card and click on the Submit
button.
How to know if the submitted charge
was Accepted or Denied
Within a few seconds
after submitting the charge, the card will be verified and charged, and a
message will appear on your screen indicating the acceptance or rejection
of the charge. Make sure you only click
the button once, even if there is a delay. Each time you click it will
register a charge on your card.
How to Submit an online
Donation with
Your Debit or Credit Card for Registered Donors
Enter the site with
your Donor User Name and Password.
Step 1; Click on Credit card or Debit Card under Select
Payment Method.
Step 2; Enter
all the requested information on the form used to submit your card donations, and then click on the Submit
Donation button.
Verify
the information and charge to your card and click on the Submit
Donation now
button.
How to Make a Donation by
Electronic Check
for Registered Donors
Enter the site with
your Donor User Name and Password.
Step 1; Click on Online Check in the "Donate By" area.
Step 2; Enter the amount of your donation and then click on the Submit Donation
button.
Verify
the information and charge to your card and click on the Submit
Donation now
button. Should you have insufficient funds in your bank account to
cover the donation, your donation will be rejected and voided.
How the Church is notified about your
Donation
When you click on the Submit Donation Now button,
an e-mail notification will be sent to the Church or
Religious Organization, and a copy will sent to the
e-mail address given for the Registered Donor. These e-mail notifications
will also be sent after each recurring donation.
Receipts
You can have a receipt
prepared for you when you submit the charge. If you would like a receipt,
click on the "prepare receipt" link on the confirmation page that you get
immediately after submitting a donation charge. Save it or print a copy of
it for your records. The church or organization receiving your donation
will also give or send you a receipt.
Online Donation Accounting for
Registered Donors
When you enter the site with your Donor User Name you will see a
listing of your most recent donations in the table at the bottom of the
page. Click on Details at the far right of any entry for more
information about that specific donation.
For access to your entire Donation History given through
MyChurchDonations.com click on the Donation History link just above the
table of your recent donations. You can use the reporting tools at the
bottom of the Donation History page to obtain totals for any given time
period.
Correcting Errors
If you made a
mistake and entered the wrong amount, gave it to the wrong organization,
or clicked the "submit donation" button more than once, and the
submitted charge (or charges) was approved, it is too late to void the
transaction. When an error is made, you can request MyChurchDonations.com to
issue a refund from the organization receiving your donation. The
organization will absorb the processing and handling fees. Please notify
us by e-mail at Admin@MyChurchDonations.com
as soon as you can, and tell us:
- Your name and/or the
name on the card.
- The date and dollar amount of the
donation and error.
- Describe the error.
If you notify us within
three days of submitting the charge, it is less disruptive to the accounting
process for your church or organization.
Making Changes in your Donor
Information
If you are a Registered Donor and have moved, changed your bank account
or married and changed your name, you can edit and make changes in the
information you gave us when you registered. Enter the site with
your Donor User Name and Password, then click on the Edit Registered
Donor Information in the blue bar at the top of the page. Make the
appropriate changes and then check the little box near the upper left of
the last paragraph and click on the Submit button at the bottom.
Questions about your Electronic
Donations
All questions about your donations made through MyChurchDonations.com
should be directed to MyChurchDonations.com and not your church or
financial institution where you have your account. Please e-mail your
questions to Admin@MyChurchDonations.com.
If you think your statement or receipt is
incorrect, need more information about a transfer on the statement or
receipt, or discover a possible error in your Donation History or records,
please e-mail your concern to Admin@MyChurchDonations.com,
and include the following in your e-mail:
- Tell us your Donor User Name.
- The date and dollar amount of the
donation or suspected error.
- Describe the error or problem and/or
be as specific as possible about your concern or question.
