for Implementation
Let your congregation know that you have implemented a new electronic payment option and are now able to accept ATM, debit and credit card payments for offerings, tithe and other donations for those who prefer to use their cards. Simply announce the new option and keep your congregation aware of it with low-key reminders. It is not necessary to actively promote the service. Those who want to use their ATM, debit or credit cards will do so without encouragement. If you actively promote or solicit credit card donations, you might trigger some overspending and irresponsible credit card use by some. You are implementing the program not to encourage more debt, but for the convenience and respect of those who want to use their ATM, debit or credit card for their church donations. Make sure the treasurer pays attention to the credit card donations and watches for possible misuse by those who have trouble managing their finances. Responsible stewardship is not just about giving money, and a tactful educational intervention by the Pastor could be very helpful to the person. The following are some ideas for the initial
